Gary Lee Ensinger, 72, of Vermilion, died Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was born August 23, 1948 and had been a life long Vermilion resident. Gary was a veteran of the US Navy Aviation Branch serving during Vietnam. Gary retired from Parker Hannifin where he worked as a first article layout inspector. He had previously worked for Pfaudler, Elyria. He was a life member of the American Legion Post #397 and the VFW Post #7576. He was also a member of Amvets Post #22, NRA; and a past member of the Vermilion Fish and Game. Gary enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool, his cats, boating, riding his Harley Davidson, and tipping a few back with friends. He is survived by his companion of over 40 years, Leora Skivers of Vermilion and his sister, Sandra (Virgil) Cannon of Vermilion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Betty (nee Neff) Ensinger and his son, Christopher Ensinger in 1990. Private services were held with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
