Leonville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Gary Joseph Dupuis on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville. Fr. Darren Eldridge will celebrate the mass. Rite of Committal will follow at St. Leo Cemetery.

Gary, age 65, a resident of Arnaudville, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

He is survived by his brothers, Ronnie Dupuis and wife, Pat and Adolph Joseph Dupuis III and wife Charity; Gary’s girlfriend, Kim Richard; nephew, Shawn Dupuis and girlfriend, Jeannie Aymond; and niece, Carlette Dupuis Castro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph Dupuis, Jr. and Eumae Hayes Dupuis; maternal grandparents, Henry Hayes and the former Eugenie Dupuis; paternal grandparents, Adolph Dupuis Sr. and Orpha Moreau; sister, Peggy Dupuis; and nephew, Adolph Jody Dupuis IV.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. The rosary will be recited by Deacon Joubert at 10:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Dickie Dupuis, Rickie Dupuis, Garrett Dupuis, Danny Mistric, Danny Broussard and Bert Guidry.
