<p>Rito Reyes Placencio, 96, of Silver City entered eternal rest on Tuesday September 22nd, 2020, at Gila Regional Medical Center.</p> <p>Rito was born May 22nd, 1924 in Gila, New Mexico to Albina Reyes and Ernesto Placencio. Rito was a strong hard working man, he served in the U.S Army during World War II, and worked construction most of his adult life. He was a member of the Moose Lodge for many years and had his own nicknames for everyone at the lodge. He was fondly known by all his close friends as the &quot;Mayor&quot;. He enjoyed cutting wood with his family and friends and enjoyed his morning coffee Grandma&#39;s Cafe. Rito will be greatly missed by all who knew him.</p> <p>Rito is survived by seven sons; Rito&nbsp;Placencio&nbsp;(Angie), Ruben&nbsp;Placencio&nbsp;, Nick&nbsp;Placencio&nbsp;(Chris), Louis&nbsp;Placencio&nbsp;(Rachel) David&nbsp;Placencio, James&nbsp;Placencio, and Ronnie&nbsp;Placencio; four daughters Aurora Acosta, Mary Rita Amador (Felix), Linda Medina, and Irene Legarda. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; one sister Martha Bueno (Genaro) of Las Cruces. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Helen Placencio, seven siblings and five grandchildren.</p> <p>Visitation will be on Saturday, September 26th, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at Baca&rsquo;s Funeral Chapels.&nbsp; The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will follow thereafter. Cremation has been entrusted to Baca&rsquo;s Funeral Chapels.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
