Betty Urbach

Betty Urbach, 74, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 20, 2020 in Dallas, Oregon after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Betty was born on February 22, 1946 in Corvallis, Oregon. She graduated from North Eugene High School in 1964 and graduated from Oregon Technical Institute with a degree in nursing in 1977. Betty married her husband, Gary in 1981 and moved to Dairy, Oregon where they raised their four daughters on their family farm. Betty was very active in Bonanza Community Church serving in many different capacities. Betty’s gift was serving others and found great joy in doing so. She loved traveling, sewing, cooking, crafts, gardening and canning. She loved being a homemaker and homeschool mom. She is survived by her husband Gary, daughters Christine Shattuck (Brandon), Cindy Urbach, Cheryl MacKenzie (Bob), Laura King (Jonathan), 19 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and siblings: Jerry, Judy, Susan, Leo, Ken and Calvin. Preceded in death by her sister LaVonne. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Bonanza Community Church on Saturday, September 26 at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Bonanza Area AWANA Club P.O. Box 183 Bonanza, OR 97623. Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family. www.dallastribute.com
