Mrs. Wanda Romine, affectionately known as Nana, age 93, passed away peacefully Monday morning, September 21, 2020, at her residence in Virginia Beach. Wanda was preceded in death, by her loving husband of 65 years Ted Romine, and two sons, Roger (Teddy) O’Neal Romine and David Mark Romine. Born July 29, 1927, in Ardmore, Oklahoma, she then married and moved east, becoming a resident of Garden City, Georgia for 60 years. She was a member of The Church of Christ, teaching Bible School for over 25 years. She was also an avid member of The Home Demonstration Club in Garden City for many years and was regarded as a pillar of her community. Wanda was loving, kind, non-judgmental and deeply cared for all those she knew. She enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Family was her life. Wanda is survived by one son, Bonnie Romine of Garden City; three grandsons, two daughters-in-law and one granddaughter, Chris Romine and wife Rachel of Virginia Beach, Travis Romine and wife Jennifer of Virginia Beach, Daniel Romine of Florida and Candace Huttinger of Garden City; 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Gerry Burke of Pensacola and Diane Kavelaras of Memphis; and her grand dog Sugar who she found great comfort and pleasure with. She leaves behind many other family members and friends who will miss her smile, her laugh and her love greatly. A service in her honor will be held 9:00 AM, Monday, September 28, 2020 at Greenwich Cemetery, 330 Bonaventure Rd, Savannah, Georgia 31404.
