Tammi Marie Burke

Tammi Marie Burke, age 47 passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2020. She was born August 20, 1973 in Hartford, CT, the daughter of the late Shirley Soucier and Thomas Burke. She spent many years caring for others as she was a certified nurse assistant for over 20 years and had a heart of gold when it came to helping young youth empower and find themselves. She was an inspiration and advocate for her family. Her four kids, Cassandra, Antonia, Gustavo and Stephon Heredia; three grandkids, Ehlyas Diaz, Kataleina and Aniayah Hudson amongst what she would call her "adoptees" and her step children, Amy and Mariseliz Heredia and Jessica Laiz; and her siblings, Roberlie and Paul Nelson, Wendy Zern, Roy Smith, Kim Burke, Thomas Burke, and David and Julia smith will mourn her deeply. She had a love for everyone that came in her presence and changed lives for people as much as she could. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 10 AM to 12 Noon on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
