Jimmy Howell Waters, 73, died September 18, 2020, with family by his side in his home in Lake Butler, FL. 

Mr. Waters was born March 5th, 1947 to John Leslie Waters and Emily Carroll Waters at home in Lake Butler, FL. His father worked as a farmer.  His mother took care of their 13 children at home. Mr. Waters enjoyed his cows, was an avid reader, loved the mountains, and his grandchildren. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

Throughout his life Mr. Waters was employed and owned businesses as a farmer, builder, and well driller. Mr. Waters served in the United States Army from 1966-1968 during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. 

Mr. Waters is preceded in death by his parents John Leslie and Emily Carroll Waters; his son James Richard Waters; his siblings Estelle, JE, John, Leamon, Lowell, Virginia, Charles, Connie, James, Roy, Faye, and Ann.

Mr. Waters is survived by his brother, Joe (Pat) Waters; 2 sons- Jimmy II and Jason; daughter- Jamie (Terry) Parrish; grandchildren- Richard, Ryan, Jodie, Brooke, Dylan, Jimmy III, Natalie, Rylie, Parker, and Hudson; and great-grandchildren Katie, Rachel, and soon to be new baby Andrew.

A funeral service to honor Mr. Waters will be held Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11:30am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Lake Butler, FL. Family will receive friends for a visitation preceeding the funeral Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 10:00am.  Mr. Waters will be interred at Oak Grove Cemetery following the funeral service.
