Kathryn Fern Weir
Kathryn “Kay” Fern Davis Weir, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 in Fort Smith. She was born on August 28, 1943 in Wewoka, Oklahoma and lovingly raised by her grandparents, Clarence and Ethel Hubbard. Kay was preceded in death after 45 years of marriage by James “Jim” Weir. She was a homemaker and a member of Fianna Hills Baptist Church where she had served as the pianist/organist as well as formerly serving at Oak Cliff Baptist and Windsor Park Baptist Church’s. She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Gentry and her husband Scott of Fort Smith, Beth Douglass and her husband Phil of Jenks, OK and Brooke Charlson and her husband Jeff of Bentonville, AR; two sons, Bryan Weir and his wife Shannon of Hackett, AR and Barry Weir and his wife Kristi of Van Buren, AR; 12 grandchildren, Jonathan (Stephanie) Weir, Nathan (Emily) Weir, Evan and Garrett Gentry, Adrian (Tricia) Douglass, Kate Douglass, Kathryn and Jack Charlson and Madison, Seth, Savannah and Mabrey Weir. A private family held memorial service will be held at a later date.
