Georgia was born in Union City, Oklahoma on March 21, 1934. She graduated from El Reno High School in 1951 and continued her education to receive an associate’s degree in accounting from Oklahoma A&M College. Georgia was married to Melvin Jones on September 6, 1957 and was married for 63 years. Georgia worked as a loan officer and bookkeeper until finally retiring at the age of 80. Georgia loved to sew and make quilts, she loved her church, visiting with family and friends and especially loved her children and seven grandchildren. Georgia is survived by her husband Melvin, three children, Allen Jones and daughter in law Natalie of Oklahoma City, Kari Bechtol of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Brenda Rice and son in law Greg of Owasso, Oklahoma. Grandson’s Chris Jones and wife Emily of Owasso, Oklahoma, Cameron Jones and wife Sara of Oklahoma City, Evan Bechtol and wife Morgan of Frisco, Texas, Taylor Bechtol of Frisco,Texas, Alex Bechtol of Frisco, Texas, granddaughter Hannah Rice of Owasso, Oklahoma and grandson Hunter Rice of Owasso, Oklahoma. Two sisters Joretta Terry of Gate, Oklahoma and Catherine Corn of Liberal, Kansas. Georgia is preceded in death by her parents George and Ruby Feddersen and daughter Kellene Kay. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Jude’s Hospital for children or Shriners Hospital in the name of Georgia Jones Family.
