<p><span style="font-size:22px;">Carol&nbsp;Haberman, age 66, of Hays, Kansas passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at her home. She was born January 19, 1954 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Robert Gene and&nbsp;Vada Marie (Erickson) McDonald, and grew up&nbsp;in Logan, where she attended school graduating in 1972.&nbsp; Carol married Douglas Scott&nbsp;Haberman&nbsp;on August 28, 1990 in Hays,&nbsp;and&nbsp;recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary together.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">Carol enjoyed camping, traveling, and was an avid reader.&nbsp;Carol was a true &ldquo;people person&rdquo;, delighting in spending time with family and literally dozens of friends. She had an ability of making everyone feel welcome;&nbsp;a truly natural gift of hospitality.&nbsp;Her nieces and nephews&nbsp;treasure&nbsp;time spent with Aunt Carol. She found a special place in every heart&nbsp;that crossed her path.&nbsp;Her warm smile and gentle spirit endeared her to all.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">Carol&nbsp;was&nbsp;a&nbsp;dedicated&nbsp;supporter of the United Way,&nbsp;and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates)&nbsp;for children.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">Survivors include her husband, Douglas of Hays; two brothers:&nbsp; Linn (Pam) McDonald of&nbsp;Logan, Jim McDonald of Logan; one sister:&nbsp; Mary (Ron) Dole of Hill City, together with numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents, sister in law Crystal McDonald, one niece and one nephew.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">Memorial Services will be Saturday, September&nbsp;26, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the First&nbsp;Christian Church, 204&nbsp;North Douglas Street, Logan, Kansas 67646.&nbsp; Memorial Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2020 from 6 PM to&nbsp;8 PM at 102 Church Street at the Logan Funeral&nbsp;Home.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">Memorials suggested&nbsp;can be made&nbsp;to CASA via:&nbsp;https://nationalcasagal.org/and/or United Way of the Plains.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:22px;">Services in care of Brock&#39;s-Keithley&nbsp;Funeral Chapel and Crematory 2509 Vine Street,&nbsp;Hays, Kansas&nbsp;67601, and&nbsp;Oliff-Boeve&nbsp;at&nbsp;Logan Funeral Home,&nbsp;102 Church Street,&nbsp;Logan, KS 67646.</span></p>

Carol Haberman, age 66, of Hays, Kansas passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at her home. She was born January 19, 1954 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Robert Gene and Vada Marie (Erickson) McDonald, and grew up in Logan, where she attended school graduating in 1972.  Carol married Douglas Scott Haberman on August 28, 1990 in Hays, and recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary together.

Carol enjoyed camping, traveling, and was an avid reader. Carol was a true “people person”, delighting in spending time with family and literally dozens of friends. She had an ability of making everyone feel welcome; a truly natural gift of hospitality. Her nieces and nephews treasure time spent with Aunt Carol. She found a special place in every heart that crossed her path. Her warm smile and gentle spirit endeared her to all. 

Carol was a dedicated supporter of the United Way, and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for children.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas of Hays; two brothers:  Linn (Pam) McDonald of Logan, Jim McDonald of Logan; one sister:  Mary (Ron) Dole of Hill City, together with numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sister in law Crystal McDonald, one niece and one nephew.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 10:30 AM at the First Christian Church, 204 North Douglas Street, Logan, Kansas 67646.  Memorial Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2020 from 6 PM to 8 PM at 102 Church Street at the Logan Funeral Home.
