<p>Mrs. Gertie Altman Langston, 89, of Marshville, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Autumn Care Nursing Home of Marshville.<br /> <br /> Funeral services will be conducted&nbsp;at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Bible Baptist Tabernacle Church,&nbsp;2900 Walkup Avenue, Monroe, North Carolina, 28110, officiated by Pastor Terry Stevens and Pastor Bobby Leonard.<br /> Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.<br /> <br /> The family will receive friends&nbsp;from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM&nbsp;at the Church, prior to the funeral ceremony.<br /> <br /> Mrs. Langston was born on August 18, 1931, in Florence, South Carolina, a daughter of the late William Dennis Altman and the late Leola Matthews Altman.<br /> She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Richard Junior Langston; a granddaughter Latisha Langston; two brothers, Donald Altman and Woodrow Altman; and a &nbsp;sister, Mildred Harper.<br /> <br /> Gertie was a homemaker and in earlier years, she worked at Little Beaver in Marshville.<br /> <br /> Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Hazelwood of Marshville and Nancy Langston of Marshville; a son, Ricky Langston ( Dawn Sistar) of Marshville; three brothers, Kenneth Altman (Bert) of Galivants Ferry, SC, Loris &ldquo;Lonzo&rdquo; Altman (Virginia) of Jacksonville, FL, and Carroll Altman (Dotsie) of Timmonsville, SC.<br /> There are four granddaughters, Susette Kimrey of Marshville, Kristy Hagler (Donnie) of Marshville, Amber Hughes (David) of Stanfield, Christina Langston (Harrison) of Matthews; two grandsons, Richard Langston of Marshville and Sam &ldquo;Bubba&rdquo; Langston of Marshville. Mrs. Gertie Altman Langston, 89, of Marshville, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Autumn Care Nursing Home of Marshville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Bible Baptist Tabernacle Church, 2900 Walkup Avenue, Monroe, North Carolina, 28110, officiated by Pastor Terry Stevens and Pastor Bobby Leonard.
Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at the Church, prior to the funeral ceremony.

Mrs. Langston was born on August 18, 1931, in Florence, South Carolina, a daughter of the late William Dennis Altman and the late Leola Matthews Altman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Richard Junior Langston; a granddaughter Latisha Langston; two brothers, Donald Altman and Woodrow Altman; and a  sister, Mildred Harper.
