Gerald L. “Jerry” Stroud, age 76, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center of Newburgh.

Jerry was born June 8, 1944, in Tell City, IN, to James Stroud and Theresa (Hauser) Stroud. He graduated from Rex Mundi High School in 1962 and enlisted in the Army. Jerry is a Vietnam War Veteran. He was employed with Craddock Finishing Corporation in Evansville, IN, as a Paint Inspector for over 33 years. Jerry was a great man of God, a loving husband, a good step-father and step-grandfather.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Lynn (Mabry) Stroud; step-son David Mitchell (Jill) of Godfrey, IL; brothers, James Stroud, Jr. (Mary) of Murray, KY and Thomas Stroud (Jacquie) of Omaha, NB; and step-grandchildren, Benjamin Mitchell and Levi Mitchell.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Stroud; and brother, William Stroud.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with David Mitchell officiating.
