Ernest Richard Young

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ernest Richard Young of Creston South announces his passing. Ernest passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on September 19th, 2020 at the age of 66. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his brothers, Karl (Darlene) of Creston South, Gary of Creston South, Rodney of Owen Sound, and Colin of Toronto; sisters, Bernice (Ed) of Burin, Sue (Mac) of Creston South, Kimberly of Brooks, and Roxanne of Creston South; sister in law Mary Power, brother in law Dominic Farrell: special nephew, Shawn Young of Creston; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.

Ernest was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Sadie Young; sister, Donna Young; and brother, Reuben Young.

In honoring Ernest’s wishes, cremation has taken place.

The family will receive visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 1- 4 pm and Thursday, Sept. 25, from 1- 4 pm. In order to maintain social distancing and to follow the public health advisory of COVID 19, a walk through visitation will take place. A maximum of 20 people at any one time permitted. A private funeral service will be held at Peninsula Funeral Home, Creston South, on Friday, Sept. 25 at 1:30 pm. Inurnment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery Creston South.

Please note that due to COVID-19 there is no shared food or beverages permitted in the funeral home.
