SSG Jeffrey Lynn Jarrell

SSG Jeffrey Jarrell, age 66, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, entered into rest Sunday morning, September 20, 2020, at his residence. He was born September 26, 1953, in Huntington, West Virginia, a son of the late Frederick and Sarah Lou Adams Jarrell. Jeff was of the Christian faith and a graduate of Olive Hill High School class of 1971. He proudly served our country in the United States Army and was deployed during Desert Storm. Jeff was a member of the Olive Hill American Legion Post #138, Olive Hill Masonic Lodge #629, and he was a Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs and riding his motorcycle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jaime Jarrell and Jack Jarrell. Jeff is survived his loving wife of 27 years, Felice Barker Jarrell; his children, Amber Jarrell and Tiffany Jarrell, both of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Brandy Post (Rob) of Carleton, Michigan, and Jason Darga of West Palm Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Jhan Jarrell of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and two sisters, Jada Jarrell and her husband, W. Lynn Johnson and Julie Jarrell, all of Olive Hill, Kentucky. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly mourn his passing. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky, with Brother Dave Shanklin officiating, with full military honors presented by the Olive Hill American Legion Post #138 following the funeral service at the funeral home. Friends may visit from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2020, and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164. Due to COVID-19 regulations, we ask that everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing.
