Geroge Jackson "Jack" Seegars, Sr.

George Jackson “Jack” Seegars, Sr., 88, of Kershaw, passed away, Sunday, September 20, 2020, at his home. Born in Kershaw, he was a son of the late Richard Wilson Seegars and Mamie Angeline Gardner Seegars. Mr. Seegars was a retired mechanic and a member of Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and car racing. Mr. Seegars also served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Ruby Lucas Seegars; 8 children;19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and a sister, Lucy Mae Twitty. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 o’clock p.m., Thursday, September 24, in Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Tim Steen will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Seegars may be made to Home Care and Hospice of Lancaster, 901 West Meeting Street, # 201, Lancaster, S.C. 29720. Baker Funeral Home is serving the Seegars family.
