Anthony Peter Jones
<p>Anthony Peter Jones formerly of Union/Vauxhall and Maplewood NJ, passed away at his home in Laurel Maryland on September 4, 2020. Anthony was born on May 17, 1958 in Newark, NJ to Charles A. Jones Sr. and Camille A. (Nee Bruington) Jones.</p> <p>He was baptized Catholic at Our Lady of The Most Blessed Sacrament Church in East Orange, NJ. Anthony completed his early education in the Union School District and graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ in 1976.</p> <p>After high school he enlisted in the US Army and received an honorable discharge. At an early age Anthony learned how to work on cars with the help of his father. He started his work resume at Great Eastern Department Store where he made pizzas. He drove buses and limousines for private companies in NJ/NY/Manhattan area. He then decided he wanted to become an entrepreneur and do things his way so he started his own company LJ Express, where he started driving for NBA/NFL Players, politicians, and entertainers, and provided transport in the DC/Metro area.</p> <p>Anthony had an infectious smile and personality that made people gravitate to him. He loved his old school music Stephanie Mills, The O’Jays, Blue Magic and many more. He might not have always done his best, but he did the best he could for all of us.</p> <p>Predeceased by his parents Charles A. Jones Sr. and Camille A. Jones, his two brothers Charles A. Jones Sr. and Michael D. Jones Anthony.</p> <p>Anthony leaves to cherish his precious memories his eldest daughter Chanelle Yvonne born to Patricia L. McEachern, his daughter Shimere Nadine, his son’s Anthony Louis and Travis born to his exwife Dorine Gross, Two sisters Sharon D. Jones-Dietrich and Vanessa Jones, Grandaughter’s Asia, Lexis, Miya. Destiny, Lily, and Jazmyn, grandson’s Dontae, Joshua, Josiah, Jacob and Davion, five great grandchildren Za’Nyah, Nyla, Atiyah, Nuriyah, and Bryson, one sister in-law Victoria and a host of nieces, nephews, many family members and friends that he loved dearly.</p>May 17, 1958 - September 4, 202005/17/195809/04/2020
