Graveside services for Mary Richardson, 89, will be held Friday, September 18, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Tell Baptist Cemetery with Kerry Wood officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home following the service. She passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in Wichita Falls. Mary was born July 18, 1931 in Mobeetie, Texas to Leslie Lyle Andrews and Clessie Williams Andrews. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and volunteered extensively with The American Red Cross which allowed her to travel all over the United States, including 9-11 in New York. She loved quilting, ceramics and was an avid reader. She loved her dog, Jenny, very much. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. Later in life, she enjoyed beating her family members at dominoes and talking trash about it. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sid Richardson, and three brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Carol Richardson; a son, Charles Richardson; four grandchildren Clessie LeMay and husband, Chad; David Richardson; Sarah King and husband, Rick Hatfield; Douglas Richardson and wife, Ann; three great grandchildren, Legen Belcher, Braylee Belcher and Jaylen Belcher and two nephews, Ed Andrews and wife, Karen; and Jim Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CRMC Hospice, 901 Highway 83 North, the Childress Public Library, 117 Avenue B Ne or the local chapter of the American Red Cross.
