<p>It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Layne Catcheway announces his passing on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the age of 19 years.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Layne was born on November 27, 2000 in Dauphin, MB to his parents Freddie and Joanne Catcheway (nee Lacquette.&nbsp; He was a beloved sibling of Nikita, Naomi, Hailey, Tianna and TJ.&nbsp; Layne graduated and received his high school diploma in June 2019 from the DRCSS.&nbsp; Everyone who knew Layne knew of the countless hours he worked to graduate.&nbsp; Layne had a lot of perseverance and determination and he never gave up.&nbsp; He recently started working with Russell Redi Mix and also worked for Lacquette Construction.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Layne always had a deck of cards on him, he loved to show others his card tricks.&nbsp; Baseball was one thing he looked forward to every summer once hockey season ended.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Layne was predeceased by his Papa Norman Lacquette and his grandpa Donald Catcheway.&nbsp; &nbsp;</p> <p>He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many fond memories: his parents Freddie and Joanne Catcheway of Dauphin, his grandparents Anne Lacquette of Dauphin and Mary Bert Catcheway of Skownan,&nbsp;<br /> his siblings Nikita Lacquette (Everett), Naomi Sinclair (Richard), Hailey Catcheway, Terence (TJ) Catcheway and Tianna Catcheway, his nieces and nephews who held a special place in Layne&#39;s heart Brookelynn, Taylor, Ainsley, Amaya, Emma and Michael, Laytin, Kaleb and Desmond as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins. Layne really loved them all and his uncles held a special place in his heart - Joseph, Dwayne, Daryl, Terrence, Eugene, Adrien and Tony.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>A prayer service was held on Friday, September 18, 2020 beginning at 6:00 pm from the residence of Freddie and Joanne Catcheway, Mallard, MB&nbsp;</p> <p>Funeral Service was&nbsp;held on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 12:00 noon from the residence of Freddie and Joanne Catcheway, Mallard, MB&nbsp;</p> <p>Interment in the Waterhen Riverside Cemetery, Waterhen, MB&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
