Janet Adkins Shull
<p><br /> Janet Gayle Shull, 80, of Flatwoods, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday evening, September 15, 2020, at Community Hospice.<br /> She was born October 23, 1939, in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Haskell and Rosa Kegley Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gary L. Shull; an infant daughter, Shawn Lyrae Williams; and a sister, Charlotte Kay Shrewsbury.<br /> Janet retired following a long career as a postal carrier in Ashland and was a member of Boyd County Homemakers. Janet was a beloved mother, grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.<br /> Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Shane (Tracy) Williams of Ashland, Tracy (Stephen) Anderson of Edmond, OK, Stephanie (Edward) Ting of Cortland, OH, Troy (Cindy) Shull of Cincinnati, OH and Margery (Frank) DiCesare of Chandler, AZ; sister, Elizabeth “Libby” (Roy) Cline of Ashland; grandchildren, Alexandra (Dominic) Carusone, Zachary Anderson, Jordyn Ting, Ashton Anderson, Eric Williams, Hope Shull and Grace Shull. Janet is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.<br /> Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel.
