Maria Lucia Capizzano With sadness, we announce the passing of Maria on September 15, 2020 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Francesco and cherished mother of Michele (Cindy), Sam (Silvana) and Gino (Tiziana). Proud nonna of Olivia (Ryan), Alexandria (Dylan), David, Christopher (Kylie) and Francesco. Survived by her brother Francesco (Maria) Cesario, she will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families. Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., south of Lawrence Ave. W.) on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 3-9 p.m. Please note, that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions and social distancing requirements, for the visitation, the funeral home must conform to 30% occupancy capacity. Visitors may need to wait to enter the funeral home in order to maintain the capacity requirement. Face masks are mandatory and contact tracing information will be collected upon entering the building. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Church (811 Lawrence Ave. W., at Dufferin St.) on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Please note, that the capacity of St. Charles Borromeo Church is 200 people and you are required to wear face masks. A private entombment will follow at Westminster Cemetery. Due to the limited number of people allowed in the mausoleums, only the immediate family members will attend the services at the cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation in memory of Maria.
