Barbara A Schneibel

Barbara A. Schneibel passed to eternal life on September 15, 2020 in Bismarck. Barbara was born in Rugby on August 22, 1933 to Adam and Clara (Voeller) Held. She grew up in the rural Selz, North Dakota family farm and received her education there. Barbara was united in marriage to Maurus Schneibel at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Selz on October 20, 1952. They farmed near Fulda until 1958 when they purchased a farm near Selz. Here they raised their family of 5 sons on the family farm. In 1975, they moved to Rugby where she provided daycare for several years in her home. After Maurus passed away in March of 2009, Barbara moved to Haaland Manor Apartments in Rugby and enjoyed all the activities provided. In 2017, she moved to St. Gabriel's Community in Bismarck. She loved the vibrant community and was always busy with the activities. She was especially proficient at Wii bowling. Barbara was a member of Christian Mothers of St. Anselm’s in Fulda, St. Anthony’s in Selz and Little Flower in Rugby. She was also a member of Catholic Order of Forrester’s. She enjoyed baking, gardening, cooking, loved to embroider and shared her embroidered items with her family and had a talent for playing the organ and piano. She loved to play cards, especially with her grandchildren, but her greatest passion was family and her faith. Barbara is survived by her children, Darrell (Susie) of Bismarck, Monte (Gayle) of Rugby, Randy (Deb) of Oxbow, Gary of Aberdeen, S.D., and Kevin (MaryKaye) of Manvel. 11 Grandchildren include Dustin Schneibel, Jaime (Chad) Wolf, Michael Schneibel, Angie (Jason) Jelinek, Ryan (Jessica) Schneibel, Jacey (Bill) Kramer, Casey (Justin) Barclay, Brendon, Thomas, Jennifer and Gabriel Schneibel. 16 Great Grandchildren include: Maddie, Brayden, Hailey, Mikayla, Harper, Shacey, Willow, Ellie, Sadie, Tahlia, Oliver, Quinn, Kinsley, Peyton, Lydia, and Cooper. She is survived by sister Loretta Heilman in Bismarck. She is survived by her sisters-in-law Rebecca (Red) Cusey, Pauline Weiland, Barbara (Ed) Schafer, Phyllis Schneibel, Ann Schneibel and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Maurus, parents Adam and Clara Held, brother and sister-in-law Edward and Mary Held and brother-in-law Joe Heilman. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Sat., Sept. 19th at the Little Flower Catholic Church, Rugby with burial in the church cemetery. Fr. Anthony Cruz, Celebrant & Fr. Thomas Graner, Concelebrant. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday with a rosary & vigil service starting at 7 p.m. and will continue Sat. from 9 to 10:30 a.m., all in the Anderson Funeral Home, Rugby. There will be no reviewal in the church on Saturday.
