James Herbert Shearer, age 65, of Waynesburg, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in Danville, Kentucky.  Born Friday, June 17, 1955 in Nicholasville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Buford & Clara Tate (Bottoms) Shearer.  James was a US Army Veteran and was a truck driver, for many years.  James enjoyed antique cars, going to car races, and enjoyed playing ball, with his son, in his younger years.

James leaves behind one son, James Buford Shearer of Waynesburg; one daughter, Mechelle Shearer of Harrodsburg, Kentucky; five grandchildren; one brother, Buddy Shearer (Susan) of Tennessee; and special friend and ex-wife, Carol Collier-Shearer of Waynesburg.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by one daughter, Clara Lee Shearer.

Cremation Rites will be honored.  No services are scheduled at this time.
