Howd, Kathleen HOWD, Kathleen Marie – of Clio, age 71, died Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at her residence. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Mt. Morris Community Church. Rev. Michael VanArsdale officiating. Burial at Thetford Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 18, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mt. Morris Community Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Mt. Morris Community Church. Kathleen was born September 22, 1948 in Flint, Michigan to the late Willis and Maxine (Allen) Hoyt. She grew up in Montrose, Michigan and graduated from Montrose High School with the class of 1966. Kathleen also attended Mott Community College. On March 29, 1975 she married Clyde Howd and he preceded her in death on May 23, 2015. Prior to her retirement, Kathleen worked as a Para-Professional at Atherton Schools for several years. She was a member of the Mt. Morris Community Church where she was active in the Choir, taught Sunday School, worked in the nursery, and was a greeter. Kathleen sang in several choirs including the New Hope Trio and the Common Bond Trio. She also sang with her sisters and made a CD. Kathleen enjoyed volunteering in her son Christian's class room and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are: Children, Christian (Janae) Howd, Karianne (Daniel) Gaines; Grandchildren, Katie Kilpela, Hailey Gaines, Jacob Kilpela, Chloe Howd, Josie Howd; Siblings, Linda (Bob) Christensen, Marla Atwell; special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Clyde Howd; Brother, David Hoyt.
