Robert Altemus, 62, of Big Run, formerly of Brookville died early morning Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at his home following an illness.

Born in Easton, Pa. on January 13, 1958 he was the son of the late Russell and Pauline Snyder Altemus. His mother survives.

Mr. Altemus was a Brookville High School graduate and served in the U.S. Army.

He was a lifelong logger, retiring in March 2019 from Matson Lumber.

Fishing and the outdoors were his pastimes and he was a member of A.B.A.T.E.

His survivors in addition to his mother are his companion of 21 years Annette Minns; a son, Jamie Altemus; a daughter, Lisa (Raymond) Altemus Crispin; a brother, Matthew McManigle; two sisters, Robin Curry and Sandy Fisher; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father preceding him in death are also four brothers; Russell Altemus, Barry Altemus, Bill Altemus and George McManigle.

There will be no public services for Mr. Altemus.
