Collin Kelly Kidd Oneida, Tennessee Obituary

Collin Kelly Kidd

Mr. Collin Kelly Kidd, age 71, left his earthly home on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, surrounded by his family at North Knoxville Medical Center. Born in Oneida, Tennessee, on November 13, 1948, he was the son of the late Aunton and Hester Miller Kidd. He graduated from Oneida High School in 1966. He moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, and accepted a position at RCA where he met his future wife. He married Martha Kingery in 1968, and the couple had four children together. Kelly moved back to Oneida and became a truck driver in the early 80’s. He was a member of Leatherwood Baptist Church and was saved and baptized as an adult, setting a good example for his children. He enjoyed tending a garden, working on his rig with his boys, and restoring old cars. He was a great cook and recently perfected his biscuit recipe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Faye Munoz and Diane Jean Robbins; and sister-in-law, Judy Novella Kidd. Kelly is survived by his wife Martha of 52 years; daughter Kelly Sue and husband Russell Cooper and grandson Marshall; son Collin and wife Jade and grandchildren Kayley and Kobie; son Ashley and wife Machaela and grandchildren Peyton, Starleigh, Cora, Ashton, and Aleyah; son Aaron and wife Sarah and granddaughter Rowan; sister, Georgia Yates and husband Buddy; brothers, Coy Kidd and wife Pearl, and Doyal Kidd, Bradley Kidd and wife Patricia; and several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, family and friends. Kelly was a great family man and a loving father and papaw. He especially loved his grandchildren and would do anything for them. Friends say that after grandchildren, Bob mellowed out enough to actually allow others to eat chips in his presence. His family and friends will always remember him as a stern but loving man who would give anyone anything. His grandchildren will remember him as the best papaw ever Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 19, 2020, from 4:00 P.M until 6:30 P.M., in the chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Oneida. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at the Leatherwood Baptist Church with Brother Bradley Kidd and Brother Jeremy Burke officiating. Music will be provided by the Roberts family. Burial will follow in the Miller Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Collin Kidd, Ashley Kidd, Aaron Kidd, Russell Cooper, Marshall Cooper, Coy Allen Kidd, Paul Doyle Kidd, Buck Kidd, Drew Robbins, Jamie Munoz, Brian Yates, Calvin Yates, and Jacob Munoz. Due to Covid-19, and in cooperation with the Governor’s Executive Order #22, we ask that all attendees maintain appropriate social distancing, observe current health guidelines, and be considerate of all others in attendance.
