Elizabeth L. ("Betty") Brignull

Elizabeth L. (“Betty”) Brignull passed away peacefully in Essex Junction, Vermont on September 5, 2020 at age 94. She was an independent, strong-willed and private woman with a passion for family, travel, and community. Elizabeth deeply loved her family and friends. Smart and quick-witted, she fit right in with all the characters who made up her extended family. Elizabeth had an adventurous spirit, and she saw much of the world through her extensive travels. For
more than a decade after her retirement, she traveled the world with her close friend, the late George Y. Lohmann, Sr., with an around-the-world cruise on the QE2 the highlight. Elizabeth loved people and her community, and she generously donated her time and energy as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and as an usher at the Mac-Hadyn Theatre in Chatham. She always was happy to receive visitors, and in her later years as her eyesight failed, she especially appreciated those who stopped by to read to her, to help with errands, or simply for conversation. She had a knack of finding the right words to capture the moments in
her life, and we will miss her humor and quiet chuckle.

Born in 1926 to Alfred J. and Mamie I.
