Robert Frank Bononus, 80, of Heathsville/Wicomico Church died Friday, September 11, 2020 at Lancashire Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center in Kilmarnock. He was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in Newark, NJ. Robert lived his full adult life in the state he called home, Virginia in the Northern Neck area. He loved the country and water life, fishing and crabbing, and enjoyed talking to people. He had a love for watching old 50s and 60s western and slapstick black and white TV series. His family would always tell him, “you have the life of Riley.” He is survived by his sister, Karen Richard of NJ and 3 nieces, Audrena, Donna and Charlene, and many relatives in NJ, PA and FL. He will be greatly missed. A prayer service and burial will be held at 1pm on Friday, September 18th. The location will be at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Kilmarnock, VA. Any donations can be made to the American Red Cross to help those in need or to the American Cancer Society.
