Garry Foster

<p>Garry Foster was born on May 17, 1946 in the Providence, Fort St. John Hospital to Erving and Verna Foster, making him the younger of 2 siblings. Garry&#39;s mother passed away when he was only 5 years old. When Garry was 11 years old his father was remarried to May Bennet. In those days the population of Fort St. John was lucky to be&nbsp;500 people. Garry went to school in Fort St. John and graduated in 1965. He worked after high school for his Uncle Aubrey at Aubrey&#39;s Sport Centre which is where he developed his interest in hunting. While hunting with Ray Eklund he met Ray&#39;s sister Sandra, They went together for a few years before getting married in October of 1969. Garry worked as a firefighter at the Department of Transport for a year and a half and then began what was to be a lifetime career in the Financial; Service Industry. He worked for Mutual Life of Canada, which later became Sun Life, for 35 years and retired at the age of 56. Garry did everything with his beloved wife Sandra, the two could not be separated. Garry found God&#39;s way and started to serve the Lord at the age of 29 which he continued in faith up until his passing.&nbsp;</p> <p>Garry was predeceased by his mother Verna, father Erving, step mother May and his sister Donna. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Sandra as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.&nbsp;</p> <p>Funeral services for Garry will be held Thursday, September 17th at 2:00 pm. Due to restrictions caused by COVID, please use the teleconference number below to hear the service.
