Timothy W. "Jazz" Gathers

Timothy Ward "Jazz" Gathers, was born to the Late Anna Lee Gathers and William Miller on August 27, 1964 in Passaic, NJ. He was educated in the Passaic School Systems in his younger years and went on to graduate from Wayne Tech. He was employed by Clopay Corporation in Fair Lawn, NJ for over 20 years. Jazz loved basketball and football and was Die hard Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. Jazz also had a love for music, he was a DJ. He also was a part of G.I.B, known as Gentleman In Black. Jazz was also known for his great jokes and was one of the funniest people from Passaic. If you knew Jazz he someway, somehow made you laugh. On September 8, 2020, Jazz went home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his Parents: William Miller and Anna Lee Gathers; sons, Jahlil Gathers, John Gathers and Tyreek Lankford Gathers; two sisters, Cynthia G. Mobley (Gary Mobley) and Christina Gathers; one brother, Eugene Gathers; and Toniesha Salmond, who he raised like his own daughter. Also awaiting him at the gates of heaven was the love of his life Tonya Salmond. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his Children, Timothy Gathers Jr. (Anneuris Torres Gathers) of Passaic, NJ, Jaquice Lankford of Paterson, NJ, Asia Lankford of Passaic, NJ, Jahan Gathers of Passaic, NJ, Saheed Gathers Sr. (Luisa) of Paterson, NJ, and Imani Smith of Passaic,NJ; four children that he raised like his own, Shakeil Shoemaker, Jalisa Shoemaker, Nikyia Salmond, and Naquasha Salmond of Paterson, NJ; three sisters, Flora Shennett (Charlie Shennett), Wendy Jones, and Linda Gathers of Passaic, NJ; three brothers, Bernard Gathers, Eric Gathers of Passaic, NJ, and Joseph Gathers of Arizona; his grandchildren, Jahkier Gathers, Caydence Gathers, ZaNyra Lankford, England Lankford, Anna Lee Marie Gathers, Saheed Gathers Jr., Aubri Volel, Jai Viona Salmond and Jaden Taylor; devoted girlfriend, Tonya Morrison and twenty-five nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends
