Glenn was born March, 28, 1947 in Rapid City, SD, to Ralph and Zelpha (Hansen) Reede. Glenn was raised in Dupree, SD, graduating from the Dupree High School. In 1966, he was drafted into the US Army and was honorably discharged in 1968. After his service, he returned to Rapid City, working as a mechanic for Harold Keener. He then moved to Lantry, SD, where he owned and operated a gas station and bar business, and later started the Cheyenne Lounge in Eagle Butte, SD. In 1975, Glenn started trucking and in 1999, he moved to Belle Fourche, SD. Glenn found his home in the hills at the Habeck Ranch. There he built the Habeck Hollow Saloon. After finishing there and eventually retiring, he finally had the time to do whatever he wanted. He traveled to pan gold in Arizona, traveled to the West Coast to have fun with family, and perhaps his favorite part of all, he got to be a grandpa to his grandkids. Glenn Thomas Reede, 73, of Belle Fourche, died, Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital. Glenn is survived by his mother, Zelpha Reede, Spearfish, SD; three sons, Joshua Reede-Hahne, Park City, MT, Ralph Reede, Claremore, OK, and Terry Woltjer, South Dakota; three daughters, Marcia Gann, Kansas City, MO, Joanie Mogen, Sheridan, WY, and Andrea Trujillo, Rapid City, SD; six siblings, Debra, Dan, Allen, Larry, Kathy, and Carla; 17 grandchildren; and 13 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Reede; and a sister, Trudy. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2020, at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Committal services with military honors will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
