Nadine St. Clair February 2, 1932 - September 9, 2020 Nadine St. Clair, 88, of Nelsonville, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Blessing Hospital. The family is being served by Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 am on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at Nelsonville Baptist Church, Nelsonville, MO. Funeral services will start at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at the Nelsonville Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Kent Lewis and Brother Mark McPike will be officiating. Nadine was born on February 2, 1932 to Abe and Lucille Bohon. She married John W. St. Clair, Jr. on December 31, 1950. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2011. Survivors include her children; Stephen (Vonda) St. Clair of Hannibal, MO, Jennifer (Dale) Hilgenbrinck of Quincy, IL, Marsha (Dale) Elston of Palmyra, MO, son in law Jack Wasson of Palmyra, MO, Sue (Matt) Bridgman of Nelsonville, MO, and Pam (Greg) Martin of Palmyra, MO, 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ray Bohon, a sister, Kathleen Crook, a daughter, Geneva Wasson, and a grandson, Joshua St. Clair. Nadine devoted her life in service to her church, family, and community. Each service allowed her to enrich the small community where she was raised and where she raised her own children. This allowed Nadine to provide the foundation of a strong sense of community pride and a closeness that comes with living in a rural community. Nadine served her family and community by being a factory worker, the neighborhood chauffeur, holding office as PTA President, 4-H Leader, Sunday School teacher and Member of the WMU. She also was the Secretary of the Tri-County Buffalo Rangers for many years and a cook for the Philadelphia Community Center. Nadine’s life was spent enjoying family and friends. Making memories on the numerous family camping trips. As her family grew, she enjoyed quilting, sewing and crocheting. Nadine was a wonderful cook and was always willing to open her home for community block parties and gatherings. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Nelsonville Cemetery Association or the New Providence Cemetery Association. Pallbearers will be Stephen St. Clair, Dale Hilgenbrinck, Dale Elston, Jack Wasson, Matt Bridgman, and Greg Martin.
