<p>It is with broken hearts the family of Barbara Ann Arsenault announce her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday September 9, 2020.&nbsp; Born in Saint John on April 24, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Anna (McNeill) Roy.&nbsp; Barbara worked as a Kindergarten teacher, and was very involved with and the St. Joachim&rsquo;s CWL since 1963, the Boys and Girls club, the St. Joseph&rsquo;s Hospital Auxiliary, the Sussex Breast Cancer support group.&nbsp;</p> <p>Barb was also a prominent figure in local sports in the Saint John area for many years.</p> <p>Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Peter; her loving sons:&nbsp; Douglas (Linda) of Saint John and Wade (Anne) of Smithtown; her sister Suzanne Milne (Rob) of Guelph, ON; her grandchildren:&nbsp; Andrew (Colleen) and Samantha (Tyler); her great-granddaughter Isabella; her niece Krista Nolan (Dave); great nieces Charlotte and Evey and&nbsp; great nephew Oscar; as well as by many extended family members and friends.&nbsp; Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).&nbsp;&nbsp; A celebration of life will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 2 p.m. with visitation from 1 p.m. until service time.&nbsp;Please note that physical distancing restrictions will be observed during the gathering, and masks are strongly recommended.</p> <p>Interment will follow in St. Joseph&rsquo;s Cemetery.&nbsp; Donations in memory of Barb may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor&rsquo;s choice.</p>
