<p><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>Wanda Mary Clark Gould, age 84, of Knapp Avenue, Morehead, Kentucky, died Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>Born September 5, 1936, in Maryville, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late James Thomas and Eloise Walker Clark.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>Her husband, Dr. Robert B. Gould, whom she wed June 12, 1965, preceded her in death on July 29, 2016.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>Mrs. Gould is survived by two sons, James Gould of Morehead, Kentucky, and John Gould and his wife, Jennifer Yeung, of Cincinnati, Ohio; one grandson, Barris Adam Gould and one granddaughter, Alinea Mae Gould.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>Other survivors include one brother, John Alvin Clark and his wife Eva of Maryville, Tennessee; one nephew, Matthew Clark of Maryville, Tennessee; and one brother-in-law, Sam Gould of Louisville, Kentucky.</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>Wanda graduated from Lanier High School in Maryville, Tennessee, and received a 4-H Club scholarship from Alco Aluminum Company to attend the University of Tennessee.&nbsp; She also won a trip to the National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago, sponsored by Ruth Kerr Canning Company, and placed third among 48 states during her freshman year in college.&nbsp; In addition, she received home economics and volunteer state awards during her sophomore year at UT.&nbsp; During her four years in college, she worked as an assistant house mother in a dormitory and for J. C. Penney.&nbsp; She received the B.S. in Vocational Home Economics from the University of Tennessee in 1960 and earned a master&rsquo;s degree in vocational education from Morehead State University. Mrs. Gould taught vocational home economics for seven years in Tennessee prior to moving to Morehead.&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Northcutt &amp; Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Obituary

Wanda Mary Clark Gould, age 84, of Knapp Avenue, Morehead, Kentucky, died Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.

 

Born September 5, 1936, in Maryville, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late James Thomas and Eloise Walker Clark. 

 

Her husband, Dr. Robert B. Gould, whom she wed June 12, 1965, preceded her in death on July 29, 2016.

 

Mrs. Gould is survived by two sons, James Gould of Morehead, Kentucky, and John Gould and his wife, Jennifer Yeung, of Cincinnati, Ohio; one grandson, Barris Adam Gould and one granddaughter, Alinea Mae Gould.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
