Jose Genaro “Joe” Garcia, Jr., 60 was called to his eternal resting place

after losing his battle fighting an aggressive cancer on September 9, 2020. He was born June 13, 1960 in Rockport, Texas, to Jose Genaro Garcia, Sr. and Raquel Hernandez Garcia. Joe was a humble loving person that devoted much of his time and energy as a caregiver to his loving parents.  In his spare time Joe enjoyed listening to music, and helping friends young and old. He also proudly served in the US Marine Corps.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Joann Garcia.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents, Jose Genaro, Sr. and Rachel Garcia; sisters, Jenny Gonzalez, Brenda Fordyce-Wells; brothers, Ricky Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Mark Garcia; a son, Michael Samora, five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 14 nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at 9:00a.m. to 2p.m., with Prayer Service starting at 2:00p.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2020; lead by Brother Ruben Garcia at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, Rockport, TX.  Burial will follow at Rockport Cemetery.
