Obituary

Lanita Dale Eads, 58, passed away on September 9, 2020.  She was born on April 16, 1962, in Dallas, Texas, to the home of Bill A. and Marcella K. Kuykendall.

Lanita cared greatly about family.  Though she wasn’t as visibly present in the lives of those she loved, they were never far from her mind.  Thanks to the greatness of modern technology, she remained in contact in small ways such as sending good morning text messages to her children every morning.  Though her personal favorites were sending memes and Tik-Tok videos at random just to let others know she was there and thinking of them.  She took great pride in being a caretaker before her health forced her into taking it easy.  Still, she took great joy in spending her days with app games, Tik-Tok videos, and lovingly pestering her children every chance she could.

She is survived by her children Ricky Von Parker, Jr., Mindy Lynn Potts and husband Greg, Christopher Joe Eads and wife Amanda, and Ashley LaNale Shelton; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers Ricky Kuykendall (twin brother), Billy Kuykendall and wife Cindy, and Jack Kuykendall; sisters Leta Bowmen, Laura Kuykendall and husband Thomas, Marilyn Jiracek and husband Ron; and sister-in-law Cathy Curtis.

Lanita is preceded in death by her parents; brother Ronnie Hutchison; and sister Janie Valdez.
