Donald Ayers, 74, of Fairbury passed away on September 7, 2020 at the Jefferson County Health Center. He was born October 13, 1945 in Emporia, Kansas. Donald served in the United States Marine Corps from April 11, 1972 until August 28, 1973. Survivors include his sister, Joyce Beshears of Hutchinson, KS; brother, Ronald Ayers of Hutchinson, KS; sister, Marilyn (Bill) Turner of Poteau, OK. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Jeanette (Nave) Ayers; wife, Marguerite Joan Ayers (March 3, 2020); brother-in-law, Luke Beshears. Per Donald’s request he has been cremated and there will be no services. Private inurnment will take place at the Omaha National Cemetery.
