James "Jim" Edward Summers

James E. "Jim" Summers, age 69, Harrisville WV departed this life on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in Parkersburg, WV. He was born at Pike, WV on June 25, 1946, a son of the late William "Bill" and Dorothy Elaine Summers. Jim had retired from the Cytec Corp. of Willow Island, WV after 34 years of service as a supervisor. He was a former member of the Pennsboro Vol. Fire Department, a founding member of the former Pennsboro EMS, enjoyed helping Carl Short at the Pennsboro Speedway. He had been a member of the West Virginia National Guard. Jim is survived by two sons, Danny Summers (Angie), Pennsboro, WV and Jason (Debbie) Summers, Pennsboro, WV; two brothers, Thomas "Tom" Summers, Pike, WV, Robert "Bob" Summers, OH; sister, Patricia Ann Vaughan, Newport, OH; grandchildren, Danielle Summers, Mackenzie Summers, Josie Summers, Brooklynn Summers and Shade Summers, all of Pennsboro, WV. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a daughter, Janel Summers and a brother Michael "Mike" Summers. Funeral services will be held at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, WV at 1 PM on Monday, November 16, 2015 with the Rev. Jim Kelly officiating with burial to follow in the E.U.B. Cemetery, Pennsboro, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 5:30 until 8:00 PM and after 9 AM on the day of the service.
