Vera V. Bobinmyer

Vera V. Bobinmyer, age 93, of McCook, NE passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Great Plains Health in North Platte, NE.

Vera Victoria Case was born on March 25th,1927 at the home place in Leoti, Ks. to Ed and Euza (Cibulski) Case.  Vera was the youngest of 5 children.  Vera attended Leoti schools until 1942 when her family moved to a farm west of Culbertson, Ne.  She graduated from Culbertson High School in 1945.

Vera married David Robert “Bob” Bobinmyer August 10th, 1947 at the home of her parents.  To this union three children were born, James Edward “Jim”, David Robert Jr. “Dave” and Vicki Ann.  Bob and Vera celebrated 73 years of marriage. 

Bob and Vera made their home on the homesteaded Bobinmyer family farm south of Culbertson until moving to McCook in 1971.  Vera’s favorite hobbies included growing a flower and vegetable garden, sewing and crocheting.  Vera often helped Bob with the family farm.   Bob and Vera loved going to dances.  Vera enjoyed watching her grandchildren in school and other activities. 

Vera was a member of the United Church of Christ in Herndon, Ks.  There, she taught Sunday School and was involved in the Women Guild.  She regularly worked on Election Day at the Culbertson voting building. 

She was preceded in death by sons, James Edward “Jim” and David Robert “Dave”; twin grandsons; her parents Ed and Euza; sisters, Anita Lewis and Marjorie Frisbee; brothers, Carl and Joe Case.

Vera is survived by her husband, Bob Bobinmyer, McCook, NE; daughter, Vicki Berkley and husband James, Stockton, KS; daughter-in-law Hazel Bobinmyer, Culbertson, NE; grandchildren, Jaime Hornecker and husband Heath Casper, WY, Tyler Bobinmyer and wife Jenna of Culbertson, NE, Cody Bobinmyer, Gordon, NE, Jonathan Berkley and wife Nikki, Stockton, KS, Brian Berkley and wife Quincy, Stockton, KS, Renee Earl and husband Capt. Levi Earl, Quantico, VA; great grandchildren, Nolan, Emmie, Carson, Janzan Hornecker, Casper, WY, Preston and Parker Bobinmyer, Culbertson, NE, Henry, Charlotte, Ned, Margaret Berkley, Stockton, KS, Nadine, Maxine Earl, Quantico, V;  sister-in-laws, Doris Wacker, Bentonville,  AR, Betty Rouselle, McCook and numerous nephews and nieces.
