It is with great sadness that the family of Mark Allen Fried announce his unexpected passing at his home in Clovis, NM, on September 7, 2020.

Born March 6th, 1960, Mark is the son of Johnny R. Fried and Faye Franks. Mark is also the grandson of John and Velma Fried, whose legacy lives on in their donation of the Fried Family Cabin to the Muleshoe Heritage Center in Muleshoe, TX.

 

Graduating Muleshoe High School in 1978, Mark spent most of his life on the High Plains of Texas and New Mexico. In his youth, Mark rode as a professional jockey. He also enjoyed spending time with his extended family. His smile and sense of fun is what his loved ones and friends will always remember most, as well as his love for sports, nature and wide-open spaces. A devout Christian, Mark has gone home to his Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

 

Mark is survived by his wife, Anna, and his children; Stacy, Jesse and Cody. Mark will also be treasured in the hearts of his younger siblings; Jeri Patterson, Kimberly Fried, Shelli Bagley, Leann Pigg and Beth Webb Casas. Mark also has many other family members and friends who will mourn his loss, including his grandchildren, Katelyn, Julie and Eric.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, Johnny R. Fried, in 2009 and older sister, Barbara A. Smith in 2018. Younger brother, Stevie Joe, passed away in 1962. He is survived by his mother, Faye Franks of Canyon, Texas.
