<p>Saundra Killion Landon, age 82, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at her home in Cumming, Georgia. Sandy was born December 14, 1937 in Oakland, Iowa to Chet Killion and Martha Collins. She grew up around the state and graduated valedictorian and was a wonderful painter. She spent her early years as a stay at home mother for her three children and created the most &ldquo;unique&rdquo; food dishes for her family. Later in life, she worked for Wachovia Bank until her retirement, in which she spent her days playing tennis, gardening, and losing at card games with her friends. Sandy &ldquo;Granny Red&rdquo; was famously loved for her spit-fire personality and contagious laugh. She was a passionate football fan, lover of crime shows, and avid reader. The most important thing in her life was her family with whom she spent most of her time.&nbsp;</p> <p>Sandy is preceded in death by her grandson Matthew McDonald.&nbsp;</p> <p>She is survived by her younger sister Judy Callahan, and children, Laura, Susan, and Pam; her children, Rhonda Landon McDonald Nuzum and her husband Rick Nuzum, Kathy Landon Coker and husband Keith Coker, and Billy Landon and wife Cynthia Landon; her grandchildren, Michael McDonald and wife Stacy McDonald, Alexandria Williams and husband Jacob Williams, Haley Bly and husband Chris Bly, and Jordan Davies; and her great-grandchildren, Kellen Greenfield, Sarah Grace Bly, Andrew Greenfield, Sydney Rose Bly, Brynleigh Williams, Lincoln Greenfield, and Mattalyn Williams.&nbsp;</p> <p>The immediate family will be holding a &ldquo;fiesta of life&rdquo; at her home in Cumming, Georgia, on September 19, 2020 to honor her life and her passion for her work with, and the lives of, our southern neighbors.
