Delores Cato Barron Obituary

We celebrate the life and memory of Mrs. Delores Cato Barron whose death occurred Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at her residence under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc. 

Delores Cato Barron was born February 7, 1949 to the late Mr. June  Thomas and Mrs. Geneva Cato in Savannah, GA.

Delores accepted Christ to guide her through life at an early age.

She later moved to Ft. Pierce, FL where she met and fell in love with the late Mr. William L. Barron whom she married and from that union four children were born.

Upon moving back to Savannah, Delores was employed at Landmark Inn on Hunter Army Airfield until she retired. While touching the hearts of those she come in contact with.

On September 9, 2020 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. God reached out his hands and picked another perfect flower to add to his garden calling her home to rest after 71 years of labor to rest in heavenly peace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, husband (William), son (Tyrone), stepdaughter (Sebrina), daughter-in-law (Santina), K-9 companion Jazz and other family members.

Delores leaves to cherish her wonderful and loving memories, three daughters, Melinda, Felicia, Natasha all of Savannah, GA, four sons, Roderick and Alexandro Barron of Ft. Pierce, FL, William Barron and Roosevelt Bembry of Tampa, FL, three sisters, Frances Chalmers, Thomasena Williams, and Sandra Anthony all of Savannah, GA, five sisters and brothers-in-law, Spicy Virginia (Albert) Vickers, Walter (Dorothy) Barron of Ft. Pierce, FL, James Barron, and Robert (Louise) Barron, 26 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2020 at Campbell & Sons Funeral Home 

Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Joe Williams Cemetery (Levy, SC)
