Abraham Marc Haberman Obituary

On Tuesday, September 1, 2020, Abraham Marc Haberman, loving husband and caring friend to all, passed away at the age of 96. Also known as Marc, he was born in New York City on July 24, 1924. Marc joined the Army in 1943, with his title being Radio Operator Tech 5. While in the Army, Marc was deployed to the southern Philippines where he valiantly fought in the Battle of Luzon. He also represented the US in the Battle of Peleliu in Japan. Because of his courageous and brave spirit, he was awarded many accolades and medals that were amazing representations of his character and bravery throughout World War II. Those medals include the American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, Bronze Service Arrowhead, and to top it all off, a World War II Victory Medal. His resilient service to our country has impacted and inspired those around him greatly. Not only was he a war hero, he went on to do many amazing things once his time in the military was completed. On November 13th, 1951, he received his hairdresser and cosmetician license from the State Board of Cosmetology in California. While practicing hair, he continued to chase after his ambitions, which led him to receive his real estate license. After practicing real estate for four years, he went on to get his broker’s license and he even had his own brokerage. His zeal for life was evident throughout his career in cosmetology and real estate alike. Marc is survived by the love of his life and wife of 15 years, Helena Haberman. The two love birds met at the Messianic Temple in downtown San Diego. Something that stood out in his character was the way he led his marriage. He continually put his wife first, and through thick and thin, he exemplified agape love. The last words out of his mouth were “Take care of Zsa Zsa, take care of Zsa Zsa”. He did absolutely everything for her, which was the most beautiful thing to see throughout his marriage. His witty humor, soothing voice, and caring heart will be terribly missed by many. We have peace knowing that he is with his Lord and Savior in Heaven, and we are excited to one day be reunited with him again. Rest in peace, Marc. We love you.
