Earl Charles Rohde Obituary

Earl Rohde, 84, of Muscatine, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at Lutheran Living.  Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.  Following the inurnment a time of food and fellowship will be held at Calvary Church.  Memorials may be left to Calvary Church or Spring Valley Bible Camp in memory of Earl.  Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. Earl Charles Rohde was born on March 18, 1936 at the family home on Hersey, the son of Edward and Mary (Stangl) Rohde.  He was a 1955 graduate of Muscatine High School.   Earl served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960.  He was united in marriage to Bonnie Sissel on March 28, 1958 at Calvary Baptist Church. He was a maintenance supervisor at Heinz before his retirement. Earl was a member of Calvary Church serving as Deacon and teaching Sunday School.  Earl was also a member of the NRA and the National Hunting and Fishing Club.  He and Bonnie enjoyed traveling across the U.S. on their motorcycle.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing but most of all, spending time with his family.  Earl was a great hunting buddy and father.

Earl will be deeply missed by his wife, Bonnie of Muscatine; children, Mark (Lisa) Rohde of Nevada and Susan Graber of Atalissa; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert, Edward and Donald Rohde; great-grandson, Matthew and son-in-law, Tom Graber.
