Michael Leonard Bernard Celmer

Michael peacefully went home to the Lord from the comfort of his residence on Rissman Lane in Ortonville. He is survived by his loving sisters and brothers Lorraine and Mike Gedeon, Linda and Stanley Yolkiewicz, Larry Celmer, and Marsha Celmer and Kurt Wentzel and also his many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Josephine Celmer. Michael attended Berkley schools and Jewish Vocational Services where he learned job skills and became a hard worker. Michael loved the Detroit Tigers; he enjoyed going to spring training and meeting the players. He was a state champion Special Olympics gymnast. He was also an avid golfer and bowler, and loved music- especially dancing. He always had a hug for everyone. Michael will be greatly missed by his family, by his caregivers, and his housemates at Rissman. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes suggested to Arc of Oakland County 1614 W. Big Beaver Rd.
