Art passed away on August 27, 2020, from complications of severe pneumonia (not COVID-related) after fighting illness for quite some time. He is survived by his adoring wife, Kathy (who is so lucky to have loved him and been fiercely loved in return for over 40 years); a son, Paul; two grandsons, Anthony and Alex; a brother, Larry; his mother-in-law, Pat; and his other brother Roger’s widow, Sue, together with her companion, Jim, who also held special places in Art’s heart. He also leaves behind many friends and other extended family members. Art did not want a “public spectacle” on his death. In accordance with his wishes (especially during the COVID situation), no memorial service will be held. He felt like those who knew him and his life will grieve as they see fit. Maybe play some golf and tell some funny stories about him (there were plenty), or go fishing, or enjoy a game of tennis, or read a good book that you enjoy—and maybe have a thought or two about him along the way. Just enjoy life while you can. No matter how long it is, it’s too short for those left behind. Those who knew him will miss him and his incredible sense of humor and wit and intelligence immensely.
