Tragically passing away on the morning of August 29th, 2020, Katie will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her adoring husband Trevor and her amazing children Grace and Harrison. She also leaves behind her parents Dean and Henrietta, sisters Mandy (Richard), Laura (Michael), nephews (Justin and Brenden), Oma, and Grandmother.
Katie lived and breathed for her family. Her children meant the world to her and she did whatever she could to ensure that they were happy and active children. She kept her children busy with regular playdates, trips to the park and participating in community programs such as Strong Start. As a wife, she was the soulmate to her husband Trevor and will be sorely missed never be replaced. As the eldest daughter in her family, she was the pillar of strength for her parents and sisters and loved all of them through thick and thin. 
Ever thoughtful and deeply kind, Katie had many friends and positively impacted all those who were lucky enough to get know her. She was always there to lend an understanding ear, provide caring advice or provide a shoulder to cry on during trying times. 
Creative at heart, Katie spend her free time crafting. It was the conduit that she used to truly express her creative spirit. Her family and friends will treasure her crafts forever and keep them everlasting memories of her creative and kind nature.
Her family is profoundly touched and thankful to everyone in the community for their support during these difficult times. Katie was a strong proponent of physical distancing to stop the spread of Covid-19. As such, a memorial service will be had at a later date to celebrate her life when it is safe to do so.
