THELMA L. (nee WILLIAMSON) POTRYKUS, September 7, 2020, age 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Beverly Hills. Beloved wife of the late William A. for 56 years. Dear mother of Joanne, William R. (Carol), Robert J., and Gregory J. (Kathleen). Loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Thelma’s parents were Ermal H. and George Ann Williamson and she was the second youngest of seven children. She is survived by her brother Ermal W. She is predeceased by her brothers Fred, Richard, and Bill and her sisters Vernice and Norma. Thelma attended Birmingham Vocational School for Girls in Birmingham, Alabama and then graduated at 15 years old from Fordson High School in Dearborn, Michigan. She met her future husband and the love of her life, Bill, when she was 16 years old. After 11 years of courting, they married and moved to Beverly Hills, Michigan, where they spend their entire lives with the beautiful family. Thelma worked in bookkeeping almost her entire life. She retired in 1996 from the Potrykus family business, Atlas Cast Stone in Oak Park, Michigan. Thelma enjoyed tennis, bowling, and playing card games and had a fondness for numbers. She had a dynamic personality with a passion for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her dogs. Funeral Mass Wednesday, September 9, 2020, 10am at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 32340 Pierce St., Beverly Hills. Visitation at church begins at 9:30am.
