Jessica Braun

Jessica Sue (Sparks) Braun, age 25, of Edwardsville, IL, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Jessica was born on March 23, 1995 in Sparta, IL. On May 9, 2020, Jessica married Jacob Braun, the love of her life in Edwardsville, IL. Jessica worked at Gori Julian Law Firm in Edwardsville as a legal assistant. She enjoyed shopping and photography. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Jessica loved life, she loved to laugh, but most of all she loved her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Howard Rees; and by four grandparents, Linda Sparks, Pascal Sparks, JoAnn Williams and Harry Neville. Jessica is survived by her devoted husband, Jacob Braun of Edwardsville, IL; loving parents, LaDee Williams of Edwardsville, IL and Randy Williams of Sparta, IL; siblings, Leah Peterson of Sparta, IL, Honnie Williams, Destiny Williams and Kane Williams all of Edwardsville, IL; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rhonda and Merllen Massey of Granite City, IL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jason and Michelle Braun of O’Fallon, MO; grandparents, Brenda and Carl Benson of Granite City, IL; proud sister-in-law to Abigail Braun and Reid Massey; beloved pets, Charlie, Daisy, Lucy and Nori; extended family and many wonderful friends. Drive-thru visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Irwin Chapel, Glen Carbon, IL. In celebration of her life a private funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Irwin Chapel, Glen Carbon, IL. Memorial donations may be given to American Cancer Society or Metro East Humane Society. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
