Janie Lynn Shepherd age 44 of Blue River passed away from this life on Saturday September 5th, 2020 at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg. Janie was born on July 3, 1976 in Prestonsburg to Elmer Shepherd and Doris Nelson Shepherd of Blue River and Gary Nelson and Pamela Lazar. Janie is also survived by her children: William Gregory Hensley, Megan Lynn Hensley and Melanie Paige Shepherd all of Blue River; one granddaughter: Gracelyn Jade Kidd; two brothers: Billy Nelson of Ashland, David Collins of Michigan & Benjamin Shepherd; one sister: Crystal Nelson of Johnson County, Kentucky. Funeral services for Ms. Shepherd will be held on Thursday September 10, 2020 at 1pm at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Martin with burial to follow at The Family Cemetery in Blue River. Visitation will begin Tuesday after 6pm at Nelson Frazier and continue until the time of the funeral.
