Frank Hernandez, 65, of Salem, passed away in Mass General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday September 5, 2020 after a very brief illness. He was a product of Salem school system. Frank lived most of his life in Salem, he was the son of Reina Santiago of Danvers and the late Juan Hernandez. He is survived by his wife Mercy (Lopez) Hernandez. Frank was a resident of Salem for over 60 years. He graduated from Northeastern University and was a self-employed engineering draftsman. In addition to his wife and Mother, Frank is survived by his son Jean Hernandez of Salem, his brothers and sisters; Angela Hernandez of Florida, Carlos Hernandez of Saugus, Maritza Hernandez of Revere, Marcy Rose of Salem, John Hernandez of Danvers and Mary Hernandez of New York. Frank was predeceased by his sister Maria Santiago. Following cremation, a Memorial Mass will be said in St. John the Baptist Church 17 Chestnut St. Peabody on Saturday September 12, 2020 at 10AM followed by burial in Annunciation Cemetery 155 Hobart St. Danvers, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory can be made to the charity of one’s choice.
